utang kay mom = 49 price of shirt = 97
utang kay dad = 49 extra piso = 1
total utang = 98 total 98

97 (cost of t-shirt)+ 1 (remaining cash na nasa iyo

solution :

(50+50)-(1+1) = 97+1
100 - 2 = 98
98 = 98

utang to dad = 50
utang to mom = 50
total utang = 100
cost of t-shirt = 97
sukli after buying t-shirt = 3
give piso to dad = 1
give piso to mom = 1
leftover piso from sukli = 1
utang to dad (after bigay ang piso) = 49
utang to mom (after bigay ang piso) = 49
total utang left (49 + 49) = 98
leftover piso = 1
give the leftover piso to dad
utang to dad (after 2 extra piso) = 48
utang to mom (after bigay 1st piso) = 49

total utang (48 + 49) = 97
cost of t-shirt = 97

balance

moral of the story: wag bumili ng t-shirt pag walang pera para hindi mahirapan mag-compute ng utang

1. There's no way I would pay $97 for any shirt.
2. There's no way I would borrow money from my mom and dad for clothes.
3. There's no logic in giving them back just a $1 anyway.
4. Because I was raised on guilt, I decided not to keep the $1, and gave them each back $1.50.

$1.50 +
$1.50 +
+ $97 = $100

Simple accounting explanation:

1. Borrow 50 from mom, and 50 from dad

Cash 100

Accounts Payable mom 50

Accounts Payable dad 50

2. Bought shirt for 97

Shirt 97
Cash 97

3. Return 1 peso to mom, return 1 peso to dad

Accounts Payable mom 1

Accounts Payable dad 1

Cash 2

Summary of Transactions:

Assets:

Tshirt 97

Cash 1

__ Total Assets : 98

Liability

Accounts Payable mom 49
Accounts payable dad 49

___ Total Liability 98

Accounting equity:

Assets = Liabilities + Capital

98 = 98 + 0

nyahahahahokkok

The accountant gets that one. That one-hundred peso bit is the orifice decoy. Balanse naman. Piso o isang daan. A mathematician has nothing to do with it. And talkin' 'bout balances and math geeks, here's a thought. Thanks, Meggie.

"One Saturday night, a math professor is disturbed in his sleep, gets up, scratches his head, swears his No-wonder-why-Newton-remained-a-virgin drip, walks to the window, puts a damp finger 'tween the blinds and sees that a house in his block is on fire. He has observed, as his eyes pour vision upon street below, that the poor blokes are trying to see how to put the fire problem down to its root.

The mathematician, blinks, turns and goes to the toilet, scratches his head, turns the tap, and sees water coming out.

'Oh. There is a solution then.', he mutters. Closes the tap. And goes back to his sleep."

Balanse ba?
